Officer in Charge and Chief Executive of the Village Government
- Overseeing the protection and safety of citizens and their property, acting as a guardian of peace and supervisor of good governance in the village.
- Coordinating and managing the planning of village development projects.
- Secretary of all meetings and committees of the Village Council.
- Interpreting and overseeing policies, laws, and regulations.
- Preparing reports on work implementation in their area and encouraging citizens to prepare and implement strategies to eliminate hunger, poverty, and increase productivity.
- Leader of the heads of professional departments in the village.
- Managing, collecting, and preserving all records and documents of the village.
- Chairperson of the expert meeting within the village.
- Receiving, listening to, and resolving citizens' complaints and conflicts.
- Supervising the drafting of village by-laws.
- Answerable to the Ward Executive Officer.
Qualification and Experience
Employed with at least a Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV) or Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education (Form VI) who has completed a Diploma/Certificate course in one of the following fields: Administration, Law, Social Education, Financial Management, Community Development, and Arts Science from the Local Government Training Institute Hombolo, Dodoma or any recognized institution by the Government.
